About the position

The Fuel Card Inside Sales Consultant is responsible for driving B2B sales through outbound cold calling and strategic sales management efforts. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a sales-oriented environment, primarily through phone, email, and virtual meetings. The position offers a salary plus commission, with an annual compensation target of $80K at plan, and no cap on earnings.

Responsibilities

  • Boost B2B sales through outbound cold calling and strategizing targeted areas.
  • Execute sales and sales management efforts according to corporate marketing strategy.
  • Conduct multiple calls per day to prospective customers.
  • Research and develop self-generated leads around targeted areas.
  • Organize targeted areas to capitalize on effective opportunities.
  • Respond to RFPs and conduct follow-up calls to prospective customers.
  • Manage active sales process follow-up through to closing of sale.
  • Maintain call log, appointments, and closes in CRM, updated daily.
  • Promote and sell fleet card business using a relationship-based approach.
  • Communicate fleet card offerings to existing and potential customers.
  • Route qualified opportunities to appropriate sales representatives for further development.
  • Prepare sales proposals and conduct training sessions via GoToMeeting.
  • Stay educated on competition and market conditions.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings and industry training as directed by management.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree
  • 2+ years professional sales experience required
  • Experience selling B2B in a high activity sales environment
  • Fuel industry experience preferred
  • Experience working with Salesforce or similar CFM
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel within assigned region using own transportation
  • Highly organized with outstanding communication skills
