About the position

The Fuel Card Inside Sales Consultant is responsible for driving B2B sales through outbound cold calling and strategic sales management efforts. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a sales-oriented environment, primarily through phone, email, and virtual meetings. The position offers a salary plus commission, with an annual compensation target of $80K at plan, and no cap on earnings.

Responsibilities

  • Boost B2B sales through outbound cold calling and strategizing targeted areas.
  • Execute sales and sales management efforts according to corporate marketing strategy.
  • Conduct multiple calls per day to prospective customers and follow up on leads.
  • Research and develop self-generated leads around targeted areas.
  • Manage active sales processes and follow up to close sales.
  • Maintain call logs, appointments, and updates in CRM daily.
  • Promote and sell fleet card business using a relationship-based approach.
  • Quote pricing, prepare sales proposals, and conduct sales presentations.
  • Conduct training sessions via GoToMeeting and educate customers on product features.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects and manage ongoing customer relations.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree
  • 2+ years professional sales experience required
  • Experience selling B2B in a high activity sales environment
  • Fuel industry experience preferred
  • Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel within assigned region
  • Highly organized with outstanding communication skills
