Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and technical diagnosis of truck performance problems
• Skilled repair and maintenance of engines, motors, and related assemblies
• Tracking and executing routine fleet maintenance
• Ensuring that required documentation is complete and follows regulations and standards
• Maintaining appearance and safety standards of equipment and facilities
• Performing inventory, stocking, and other general functions to ensure efficient maintenance department operations
• Following all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules
• Attending all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
• Performing other tasks as needed to provide a safe, clean environment and assist in meeting production demands of other departments

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 3 years diesel mechanic experience
• DOT Inspection knowledge
• Demonstrated good judgment, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
• Outstanding work ethic and initiative
• Good verbal communication skills
• Availability on weekends and evenings
