About the position

The Fleet and Facilities Operations Specialist at Canteen is a pivotal role focused on ensuring operational safety and meeting strategic objectives within the fleet and facilities management sectors. This position requires a motivated individual who will oversee a variety of functions, including managing fleet resources, ensuring fleet safety, and maintaining building safety and security in accordance with Canteen standards as well as relevant state and federal laws. The specialist will play a crucial role in monitoring preventive maintenance schedules, approving repair quotes, and ensuring that operations utilize all company-contracted providers effectively. In addition to fleet management, the specialist will be responsible for managing technology programs such as GPS and Mobileye, proactively inspecting the fleet, and making recommendations for improvements as necessary. Fleet reporting and maintaining data integrity are also key components of this role. Building strong working relationships with operations is essential, as the specialist will help coordinate building maintenance programs and inspect facilities for compliance with safety and security protocols. The role may also involve performing other duties as assigned, making adaptability and a proactive approach vital for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor PM schedules
  • Monitor and approve repair quotes
  • Ensure operations are utilizing all company contracted providers
  • Manage GPS, Mobileye, and other technology programs
  • Proactively inspect the fleet and make recommendations as needed
  • Fleet reporting and data integrity
  • Develop strong working relationships with operations
  • Help coordinate building maintenance programs
  • Inspect buildings for safety and security program compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Evidence of strong project management, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Willingness to travel (50% of the time)
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends, etc. if needed)
  • Proficient at oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to motivate multiple teams and projects simultaneously
  • Property management and or fleet management experience
  • Experience in facilities management preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems is helpful
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Ability to grow and adapt as the job evolves
