About the position

As a Penske Maintenance Supervisor, you will leverage your exceptional communication, organization, and multitasking skills to effectively engage with your diesel technicians, foster a positive team morale, and ensure customer satisfaction. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating, scheduling, and auditing vehicle maintenance repairs, which encompass preventative, mechanical, and electrical repairs for tractors, trucks, and trailers. You will play a crucial role in the hiring, training, and ongoing development of vehicle maintenance technicians, ensuring that our highly skilled workforce meets customer expectations. This position is ideal for individuals looking to advance into a leadership role within Penske, and prior mechanical experience is not a requirement. Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and assign work to meet customers' needs
  • Ensure quality, compliance, and safety of Penske's assets
  • Control repair, inventory, and labor costs
  • Meet and exceed customer satisfaction
  • Coach and mentor technicians and Customer Service Representatives (CSRs)
  • Monitor associate work levels
  • Manage facility, ensuring a clean and safe working environment
  • Perform other duties and tasks as required by supervisor

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of fleet maintenance management experience preferred
  • At least 3 years of team management experience in an environment with strong operational metrics
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associates or Technical School degree preferred
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills required
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and web-based applications preferred
  • Ability to understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, and regulations established by Penske management
  • Ability to perform all work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies
