About the position
As a Fleet Manager at Beemac Trucking, you will oversee the transportation operations of the company's fleet, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods and materials. This role involves managing fleet operations, implementing transportation strategies, and coordinating with various stakeholders to optimize logistics processes. The position requires in-office work with some remote availability.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of fleet operations including scheduling, dispatching, and tracking vehicles
- Implement transportation planning strategies to optimize routes and reduce costs
- Utilize transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management to streamline operations
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) for efficient transportation services
- Communicate effectively with brokers, drivers, dispatchers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations
- Utilize tools for route planning and optimization
- Maintain and update fleet records and documentation
Requirements
- Proficiency in time management and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- 1 or more years of experience in dispatching, transportation planning, and fleet management
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with internal teams and external partners
- Knowledge of phone systems for effective communication with drivers and team members
- Familiarity with software used for route optimization is a plus
Benefits
- Contract position with a pay range of $60,000 to $75,000 yearly
