About the position
The Fleet Mechanic at Coke Florida is responsible for performing mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on the company's fleet vehicles. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and safety of the fleet, which supports the distribution of Coca-Cola products. The position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle issues, working primarily during the afternoon and evening shifts from Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on all company fleet vehicles
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and complete repairs on all types of vehicles
- Perform preventative maintenance in fleet
- Respond to service calls
- Maintain tools and clean work area
- Pick up and deliver vehicles
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of mechanic experience on light and heavy equipment
- Experience with heavy duty and PIT equipment
- Excellent demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude
- Must have a driving record with no major moving violations in the last three (3) years
Nice-to-haves
- 3+ years journeyman mechanic experience preferred
- Gasoline, diesel and propane vehicle experience preferred
- ASE certification and CDL license or certification is highly preferred
