About the position

Sprague Resources GP LLC is seeking a Fleet Operations Coordinator to oversee the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operation of our fleet. This role is crucial in ensuring that our fleet operations align with safety standards and operational efficiency. The Fleet Operations Coordinator will be responsible for conducting driver training, providing field operations support, and contributing to our safety programs and driver efficiency initiatives. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about fleet operations and safety. In this position, you will conduct driver observations and complete evaluation summaries and recommendations. You will also respond to driver, fleet, and customer concerns, documenting these interactions in Salesforce. The role requires you to support mobile systems by liaising with IT or external developers, manage driver scheduling and PTO, and execute new hire, refresher, and periodic training, including Smith System and new product operations training. Additionally, you will develop training programs aimed at improving fleet efficiency while maintaining safety and environmental standards. You will be responsible for scheduling and conducting monthly safety meetings, supporting the SPHERA reporting and investigation process, and contributing to driver safety committee objectives. The role also includes scheduling random drug and alcohol testing and DOT medical exams, maintaining JFK issuing officer credentials, and managing driver scheduling and renewals. This position is integral to ensuring that our fleet operates smoothly and safely, contributing to the overall mission of Sprague Resources GP LLC.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct driver observations and complete evaluation summaries and recommendations.
  • Respond to driver, fleet, and customer concerns, documenting in Salesforce.
  • Support mobile systems, liaising with IT or external developers.
  • Manage driver scheduling and PTO.
  • Execute new hire, refresher, and periodic training, including Smith System and new product operations training.

Requirements

  • 5 years of fleet operations experience.
  • Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations.
  • CDL A with Hazmat Endorsement.
  • Ability to pass DOT physical exam.
  • Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identity Card (TWIC).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and fleet software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to travel and work various shifts for driver supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with individuals across all levels of the organization.
