Fleet Repair Technician

About the position

Frito-Lay Fleet Technicians play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our fleet vehicles. This full-time position involves performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various types of vehicles, ensuring that our drivers can operate safely. Responsibilities

• Schedule and prioritize work tasks
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections
• Perform proactive and follow-up repairs
• Handle demand work related to vehicle failures
• Diagnose and repair brake systems, U-joints, bearings, steering, suspension, and emissions issues
• Perform light engine repairs including water pumps, injectors, and fuel pumps

Requirements

• 3 years of previous experience with gas or light-duty diesel engine repair (preferred)
• Experience in preventative maintenance of all equipment
• Ability to read pneumatic and electrical drawings
• Experience with major and minor electrical maintenance and troubleshooting
• Ability to obtain any additional licenses or endorsements required by the state
• Knowledge of brake systems and air systems
• Must have own basic tools

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Ford E350 Step Vans and Cutaway Box Trucks
• Familiarity with Sprinter Vans and Hino 238
• Knowledge of Cummins ISB engines
