About The Position

The Fleet Technician position at Frito-Lay is a critical role responsible for maintaining and repairing fleet vehicles to ensure the safety of drivers. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more with or without accommodation.
• Capable of climbing, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and stretching for extended periods.
• Ability to work in tight spaces for extended periods.
• Willingness to work on/under trucks for an entire shift (8 to 12 hours).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fleet vehicles to ensure safety and reliability.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and manage parts inventory.
• Charge parts and labor to work orders.
• Assist entry-level mechanics with difficult repairs.
• Build relationships with vendors for parts and labor estimates.
• Interact with Frito-Lay drivers, including professional truck drivers and salespeople.
• Perform preventative maintenance to avoid breakdowns.
• Work in tight spaces under vehicles for extended periods.
