About the position

The Fleet Technician position at Bentley Truck Services involves performing preventative maintenance and general repairs on medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers. The role is crucial for ensuring that all vehicles meet company and DOT standards, while also maintaining inventory controls and processing order paperwork. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Repair air and hydraulic brakes, tires, driveline, steering and suspension, electrical systems, mobile AC refrigeration, and perform engine rebuilds.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues related to tractors and trailers, such as tachometer, speedometer, power steering, and A/C systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on tractor and trailer equipment, including routine technical repairs and completing repair orders.
• Utilize resources like parts manuals and service bulletins to research problems and determine effective repair methods.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license; CDL preferred (will train).
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in diagnosing and repairing light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks preferred.
• Experience performing PM related services.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and push-pull 75lbs.
• Certifications on Isuzu or Hino products are a plus.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screening required by DOT.
