About the position
This position is responsible for the evaluation, design, development, testing, operational maintenance, protection, and support of UPS technology assets throughout their entire life cycle. The role involves managing third-party infrastructures, applications, and appliances, as well as providing support for storage and backup solutions and an Information Systems Security model for UPS Information Services environments.
Responsibilities
- Identifies and implements technologies and processes to improve the reliability, efficiency, and availability of the systems environment.
- Develops business continuity design.
- Utilizes supplied specifications and standardized tools for work assignments of moderate risk, impact, complexity, and scope.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent in Computer Science or related field - Preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
- Experience with Linux Network Administration and TCP/IP - Preferred
- Experience with Weblogic - Preferred
- Intermediate level experience with Apache - Preferred
- Familiarity with WebSphere - Preferred
