About the position

The Flex Speech Language Pathologist at Essentia Health is responsible for evaluating, planning, treating, and implementing care for patients with speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders. This role involves working with a diverse patient population in both outpatient and inpatient settings, and requires collaboration with physical and occupational therapy team members. The position includes a mixed caseload of pediatric and adult patients and requires travel to various locations in the greater Duluth/Superior area.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' speech, language, cognition, and swallowing abilities.
• Plan and implement treatment strategies in accordance with ASHA standards.
• Work with a mixed caseload of pediatric and adult patients.
• Collaborate with PT and OT team members in rehabilitation efforts.
• Travel to various locations for patient coverage as needed.
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotation for patient care.

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited speech and language pathology program.
• Current registration/license to practice speech-language pathology in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
• Experience as a CCC-SLP with a history of treating diverse patients.
