About the position

The Flexographic Printing Press Operator at MCC is a crucial role responsible for the manufacturing of printed labels while ensuring quality and efficiency throughout the printing process. This position requires adherence to safety protocols and involves operating printing presses to meet customer specifications. The operator will also be involved in maintaining equipment and ensuring a clean work environment, contributing to the overall success of the production team.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
• Report all safety concerns or issues to the immediate supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by completing daily housekeeping assignments.
• Complete make-readies in accordance with the Job Ticket and Product Specification documents.
• Perform all required quality checks related to product specifications, including visual and functional checks.
• Operate the press to produce products according to customer specifications while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Conduct critical quality checks including copy, color, registration, and ink adhesion.
• Complete all related procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements as outlined in the BRC standard.
• Efficiently complete press make-readies and all required equipment maintenance duties.
• Clean plates, cylinders, and ink pans, and lubricate the press as needed.
• Input all required information into the ERP system for material usage and time accurately.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience as a flexographic printing press operator or equivalent training.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with MO4 or Nilpeter Press.
