We do not require special schooling or a college degree for this job and you will be fully trained by United. As a flight attendant, you will enjoy travel privileges that allow you to fly around the world on United and bring your loved ones along. You will receive paid time off for sick leave and vacation. The starting hourly flight pay is $28.88/hour, with the potential to reach a top base scale of $67.11/hour based on seniority, with additional compensation for language skills, lead positions, and international trips. To start your career, you will undergo a comprehensive 6.5-week training program in Houston, TX, where you will learn United's safety and customer service standards. Upon successful completion of this training, you will be welcomed aboard as a full-time employee and assigned to one of our seven hubs or other flight attendant base locations. United provides a $140/week per diem, along with accommodations, breakfast, and lunch during training. As a flight attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of safety, demonstrating a “People-First” demeanor, and engaging directly with customers through outstanding interpersonal skills. Flexibility is key, as you will be available for global assignments 24/7, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Dependability and timeliness are critical to success in this role, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
