Starting hourly flight pay of $28.88/hour with top of base scale at $67.11/hour: Seniority based pay increases and additional compensation for language skills, lead positions, and international trips. Outstanding training: To start your career, you will begin with 6.5 week long training in Houston, TX learning United safety and customer service standards. Following the successful completion of this training, we will gladly welcome you aboard as a full-time employee and you will be assigned to one of our seven hubs - Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco, Washington Dulles, or one of our other flight attendant base locations (relocation funds not provided). United provides a $140/week per diem, along with accommodations, breakfast and lunch during training. Inflight Crew member proficiencies include ensuring the highest levels of safety, having a “People-First” demeanor, flexibility for global assignments 24/7, and being a team player. You will fulfill reserve assignments on short notice and be away from your base for days at a time. Dependability and timeliness are critical to success in this role and to operating our schedule and meeting customer expectations. Responsibilities

  • Ensure the highest levels of safety during flights.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and engage with passengers positively.
  • Adapt to different customer-facing scenarios with a passion to serve.
  • Influence customer loyalty through excellent service.
  • Fulfill reserve assignments on short notice and be available for global assignments 24/7.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Serve and/or sell food and beverages in a professional manner.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
  • High school graduate or GED; 2 or more years of college preferred.
  • At least one year of customer service experience in the service industry.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
  • Must be able to read and speak Dutch language fluently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in high-stress situations.
  • Professional appearance and excellent grooming standards.
  • Ability to proficiently operate electronic devices for required tasks.
  • Must possess a valid passport with at least 18 months of validity remaining.
  • Ability to travel to and from all countries United serves without restrictions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift heavy objects, and push/pull beverage carts.
  • Ability to reach vertically at least 82 inches to operate necessary equipment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in aviation or related fields.
  • Bilingual skills beyond Dutch and English.
