About the position

This is a dynamic and exciting position that allows you to travel, meet new challenges, and be invigorated every day as you portray the essence of SkyWest Charter to our customers! The primary role of a SkyWest Charter Flight Attendant is to ensure the safety of our passengers while they are on board our aircraft. No previous experience is required, but successful applicants will be highly professional, enthusiastic, and committed to providing our passengers with the highest standards of customer service. In addition to ensuring the safety of our passengers, as the sole flight attendant on each aircraft, the following responsibilities must be met: Consistently contribute to a positive and productive work environment with employees and customers. Efficiently prepare, serve, and restock in-flight beverages, meals, snacks, and sell on-board liquor and food. Greet passengers, assist with carry-on baggage stowage, and deliver on-board announcements. Provide effective leadership, direction, and assistance in emergency and non-emergency situations. Calmly resolve passenger situations during flight, including disorderly passengers and medical emergencies. Ensure compliance with safety regulations by inspecting and safely operating aircraft cabin components, systems, and emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers, portable oxygen bottles, and automatic external defibrillators (AED). Adhere to established procedures and performance standards without supervision.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Possession of a current, valid U.S. or foreign passport and any applicable visas necessary for travel.
  • Excellent English communication skills to provide safety information and write reports.
  • Experience in the service industry preferred (customer service, retail, hospitality, food, aviation, safety, social service, healthcare/medical position, or military).
  • Comfortable utilizing basic functions of electronic devices and PEDs for operational tasks.
  • Willingness to work varied shifts up to 16 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to travel frequently and spend lengthy periods alone without supervision.
  • Ability to work in environments with exposure to dust, gas, fumes, and extreme temperatures.
  • Reliable and punctual, living within 2 hours of a large or medium hub airport.
  • Willingness to work on an on-call basis.
  • Must attend and pass a 24-day training course.
