About the position

The Flight Attendant position at Mesa Airlines involves providing exceptional customer service while ensuring passenger safety and comfort during flights. Flight Attendants are responsible for maintaining a positive demeanor, adhering to safety protocols, and assisting passengers with various needs throughout the flight. This role requires reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to upholding the company's service standards and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide constant attention to customers, ensuring a safe and reliable onboard experience.
  • Greet passengers and assist them in finding their assigned seats.
  • Monitor carry-on baggage and assist passengers with storage.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude during challenging situations.
  • Explain the use of safety equipment to passengers clearly and concisely.
  • Serve beverages, snacks, and meals as applicable.
  • Assist passengers with special needs, including unaccompanied minors and those with disabilities.
  • Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures and operate emergency equipment onboard.
  • Abide by company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Flight Attendant Manual.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; college credits or a minimum of two years of customer service experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and dependability.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Willingness to be assigned to any of Mesa Airlines crew bases after training.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
  • Height between 4'11'' and 6' without shoes to reach overhead bins and galley compartments.
  • Ability to perform safety-related procedures, including operating aircraft doors and lifting emergency exits (approx. 40 lbs.).
  • Present a clean, neat, and professional appearance at all times.
  • Ability to sit in the flight attendant jumpseat without modification and walk comfortably down the aisle.
  • Minimum 20/40 vision, corrected or uncorrected.
  • Authorized to work in the United States and possess a valid passport.
