About the position

The Flight Attendant position at CommuteAir involves performing essential inflight safety and customer service duties while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company policies. The role requires effective communication with both flight and ground crews, as well as readiness to handle emergencies. The Flight Attendant is a key representative of CommuteAir and its codeshare partner, United Airlines, providing outstanding service to passengers during flights.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety standards on board are met and passengers comply with applicable FAA and company regulations and policies.
• Provide outstanding customer service and assist passengers while on board.
• Complete necessary checklists and paperwork as outlined in the Flight Attendant Manual.
• Communicate effectively with pilots and ground crew to ensure efficient and safe operation of flights.
• Be prepared to handle an emergency at any time during a flight.
• Comply with company policies as outlined in the Flight Attendant Manual and Employee Handbook.
• Perform other duties as assigned in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must possess a valid United States or foreign passport with applicable VISAs.
• Fluent in the English language, both written and spoken.
• Satisfactory 10-year background history, including criminal background.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
• Ability to comply with company uniform and grooming standards while on duty.
• Professionalism and ability to maintain composure and professional appearance.
