About the position

The position involves overseeing the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and training of new sales and operations personnel. The role requires mentoring and supporting staff, as well as managing disciplinary actions and terminations when necessary. The individual will work in alignment with the company's culture and values, ensuring adherence to all policies, processes, and procedures. Collaboration with senior management is essential for updating and revising policies and procedures as needed. The role also includes monitoring competition, economic indicators, and industry trends, analyzing sales data to address performance gaps, and developing lead generation plans in collaboration with marketing and the executive team. Additionally, the individual will set revenue and sales goals with senior management, maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, and ensure strong relationships with the existing customer base. The position requires engaging and motivating the sales team, resolving escalated customer issues, and ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations. A thorough knowledge of Air Traffic Control, Weather, NOTAMS, Flight planning, and aircraft performance is necessary. The individual will manage all functions of the Flight Operations team and represent the Cirrus brand professionally at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, select, onboard, and train new sales and operations personnel.
  • Mentor, support, discipline, and terminate personnel as warranted.
  • Work according to company culture and values, adhering to and enforcing all company policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with senior management on policy or procedure updates and revisions as warranted.
  • Monitor competition, economic indicators, and industry trends.
  • Analyze sales data and develop plans to address performance gaps.
  • Collaborate with marketing and the executive team to develop lead generation plans.
  • Work with senior management to set revenue and sales goals.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and monitor their preferences.
  • Continually update and maintain an accurate customer preference database.
  • Maintain strong relationships with the existing customer base.
  • Engage and motivate the sales team to increase performance.
  • Ensure the sales and ops teams work as a positive unit and share their best practices.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues and customer complaints regarding sales and service.
  • Provide expertise when adjusting pricing and discounting rates.
  • Provide advanced negotiation expertise.
  • Ensure the sales and operations team work cross-functionally with other departments.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations and Company approved manuals.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of Air Traffic Control, Weather, NOTAMS, Flight planning.
  • Have a thorough understanding of aircraft performance and direct operating costs.
  • Have a thorough understanding of worldwide flight planning.
  • Ensure efficient aircraft and crew utilization to achieve the highest profit margin on each flight.
  • Manage all functions of the Flight Operations team.
  • Demonstrate leadership that embodies the spirit of teamwork between all departments and management.
  • Professionally represent the Cirrus brand at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent aviation experience required.
  • Must have at least 5 years in a management role at Part 135 or Part 121 carrier.
  • Part 121 Dispatch License strongly preferred.
  • Must be self-motivated, ethical, resourceful, and results-driven.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must possess excellent negotiation and strong decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to motivate teams and lead through influence.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Ability to translate strategies into operational and tactical goals and track performance.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft/Apple Office programs.
  • Must be able to pass TSA/DHS background check.
