In addition to transportation duties, the role requires effective communication skills, as specialists must use standard radio codes to interact with the communications center. They will also be responsible for maintaining the company vehicle, ensuring it is clean and in good working order. This includes completing a mechanical checklist at the start of each shift and reporting any mechanical issues to the fleet department. The position also mandates adherence to HIPAA regulations and company policies, ensuring compliance with all operational standards. Successful candidates will undergo company driver training and CPR First Aid training to equip them with the necessary skills for the role. Responsibilities

  • Transport/drive flight crews from local airports in Wichita, KS to hospitals in the surrounding area.
  • Utilize maps to locate hospitals, medical facilities, and patient home addresses.
  • Use standard radio codes to communicate with the communications center.
  • Complete daily trip sheet recording transport activity.
  • Ensure company vehicle is maintained and presentable.
  • Complete mechanical checklist for vehicle at the start of each shift.
  • Communicate mechanical problems to fleet department if/when vehicle is not in working order.
  • Successfully complete company driver's training.
  • Successfully complete CPR First Aid training.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations, all company policies, procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Follow information systems security policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Entry-level position with no prior experience required.
  • Ability to drive safely and responsibly in various conditions.
  • Strong communication skills for radio communication and reporting.
  • Basic knowledge of local geography and ability to read maps.
  • Ability to adhere to safety and compliance regulations.
