About the position

The Flight Test Instrument Engineer will play a crucial role in the Space Systems team, focusing on managing test readiness and ensuring successful execution of testing for advanced space projects. This consulting position, lasting 24 months, offers an opportunity to work on pioneering technologies in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the preparation of testing to maintain program schedules.
  • Identify upcoming testing from program schedules.
  • Determine resources (rigs, tooling, instrumentation) needed to perform testing.
  • Work with lab management to determine the availability of the resources needed to perform testing and resolve any bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate the gathering of test resources.
  • Coordinate the repair of test tooling and the calibration of instrumentation needed to support testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in managing test readiness and execution in engineering projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in space systems or aerospace engineering.
  • Familiarity with government regulations related to aerospace testing.
