The Float Patient Service Representative at Sport Ortho Urgent Care is a full-time role focused on managing patient interactions efficiently and accurately throughout their care journey. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the clinic's operations by collaborating with a team of healthcare providers to meet patient needs and ensure a seamless experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and accurate management of patients throughout their course of care.
• Work closely with the team of providers to accommodate all clinic needs.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
• Collect and record all demographic information accurately.
• Collect patient responsibilities including copays, coinsurance, and prior balances.
• Perform additional duties as requested by the Manager or Team Leader/Supervisor.

Requirements

• College degree preferred.
• Minimum 1-year experience in high volume healthcare administration.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of medical practice procedures and terminology is helpful.
• Familiarity with pre-authorization procedures, insurance verification, scheduling, and working in EMR systems.
