About the position
The Float Pharmacist at Genoa Healthcare plays a crucial role in serving behavioral health and addiction treatment communities by processing prescriptions and providing medication management. This position is part of a collaborative care team that ensures patients with complex health conditions receive the right medications and follow their treatment plans. The role is classified as temporary and involves working on an intermittent basis, primarily during weekdays.
Responsibilities
- Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
- Provides information to customers about medications and their use
- Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service
- Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
- Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy
- Performs any other usual and customary pharmacy duties
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
- Current pharmacist license in state of Texas
- Valid Drivers License
- Reliable Transportation
