About the position
The Goddard School in Broadview Heights, Ohio is seeking passionate Float Teachers to provide nurturing, child-centered learning experiences for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This full-time position involves supporting various classrooms while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and utilizing the proprietary Wonder of Learning curriculum to foster independent skills in children.
Responsibilities
- Support all classrooms within the school as a Float Teacher.
- Ensure compliance with Goddard's Health & Safety Quality Assurance standards.
- Work with infants, toddlers, preschool, and pre-k classrooms.
- Provide a nurturing and child-centered learning experience.
- Assist in maintaining a healthy work environment for teachers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prior childcare experience preferred, but will train.
- Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
- Strong written and communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in child care for at least 1 year preferred.
- Pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
