About the position

As a Float Teller at KeyCorp, you will serve as a trusted advisor and partner to clients in the Key Bank communities. Your primary role will be to provide excellent client service by assisting clients with their account transactions and servicing needs, while also identifying and resolving client servicing issues. You will engage in conversations with clients to uncover their financial needs and transition them to a banker for deeper financial wellness discussions. This position emphasizes a strong client experience culture and the importance of helping clients in their financial journey.

Responsibilities

• Embodies a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate.
• Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of teller functions.
• Proactively work to identify and resolve client servicing issues, escalating as needed.
• Listen for clues for financial wellness opportunities during client conversations, and then appropriately transition the client(s) to a Banker.
• Assist clients in achieving their financial goals and objectives through the use of financial wellness tools.
• Participate in morning huddles and end of day debriefs.
• Follow compliance, audit and security procedures, balancing cash drawer within balancing guidelines.
• Review and maintain knowledge of product guides, fees, and policies to stay current on offerings.
• Perform other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
• Comply with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including acting professionally at all times.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience (required)
• Experienced in a client service role (required)
• Experienced in cash handling (required)
• General understanding of PC with Windows based applications and calculator (required)
• Knowledgeable about the client's accounts and business with the bank and uses sound judgment with customers and transactions
• Exhibits strong sales and service skills, presenting products and services while proactively educating clients on utilizing available access channels.
• Strong work ethic and high level of integrity
• Excellent time management skills.

Benefits

• Base hourly rate in the range of $18.00 to $22.12 per hour depending on location and job-related factors.
• Short-term incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
