About the position

The Float Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of multiple Health Scholar sites within hospital and ambulatory care center clients. This role serves as a crucial link between program participants, internal teams, and clients, ensuring smooth program operations. The ideal candidate will excel in various responsibilities, including enhancing the program experience for Scholars, achieving recruitment goals, and fostering strong relationships with hospital executives. This position is well-suited for individuals interested in health care delivery, mentorship, and program administration.

Responsibilities

  • Actively recruit and maintain a diverse pipeline of Health Scholar candidates through recruitment events and relationship-building with campus career centers and student organizations.
  • Provide direct supervision and mentorship to program participants, typically managing 50-200 individuals at the client site.
  • Manage and improve on-site program operations, including training, recruitment activities, and professional development workshops.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key hospital client executives to ensure program success and growth.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses on program metrics to report service line impact and identify opportunities for client value demonstration.
  • Plan for future client growth by identifying opportunities for additional participant rotations with client executives.
  • Engage with team members to pursue opportunities that add value to clients through various services offered by the firm.
  • Support business development through market research and contributions to BD collateral.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to compliance and program operations, escalating high-risk issues to management.
  • Model professionalism and conflict-resolution skills for program participants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 1-2+ years of work experience preferred.
  • Passion for student teaching, mentoring, and development.
  • Strong project and people management skills, with experience managing large groups preferred.
  • Comfortable with recruitment and networking activities.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience and interest in health care is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently at the client site as the sole Program Manager.
  • Willingness to participate in regional trainings during evenings and weekends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio).
