About the position

The Float Program Manager at COPE Health Solutions is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Health Scholar program across multiple sites, ensuring a seamless experience for participants while meeting recruitment goals and fostering relationships with hospital executives. This role combines elements of health care delivery, mentorship, and program administration, making it ideal for individuals passionate about student development and health care.

Responsibilities

  • Actively recruit and maintain a diverse pipeline of Health Scholar candidates through recruitment events and relationship-building with educational institutions.
  • Provide direct supervision and mentorship to program participants, typically managing 50-200 scholars at client sites.
  • Manage and improve on-site program operations, including training, recruitment activities, and professional development workshops.
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospital client executives to ensure program success and growth.
  • Conduct analyses on program metrics to report on service line impact and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Plan for client growth by exploring opportunities for additional participant rotations in clinical and administrative departments.
  • Engage with team members to identify opportunities for adding value to clients through various services offered by the firm.
  • Support business development efforts through market research and contributions to promotional materials.
  • Proactively address and mitigate risks related to program operations, including compliance and policy violations.
  • Model professionalism and conflict-resolution skills for program participants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 1-2+ years of work experience preferred.
  • Passion for student teaching, mentoring, and development.
  • Strong project and people management skills, with experience managing large groups preferred.
  • Recruitment experience and comfort with networking are required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience and interest in health care is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently at client sites as the sole Program Manager.
  • Availability for regional trainings during evenings and weekends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio).
