About the position

The Floater Field Service Engineer at Grifols is responsible for providing service and support for electronic and electro-mechanical equipment primarily in the Raleigh-Durham area. This role involves extensive customer interaction, troubleshooting, and compliance with company protocols. The engineer will undergo training for 12-18 months and must be willing to travel up to 70% of the time and relocate within the continental United States as needed. The position emphasizes customer service, technical skills, and personal development.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to procedures and protocols outlined by the Grifols GST organization and Grifols Diagnostic Solutions.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints, participate in customer site evaluations, upgrades of hardware and/or software, product installations, preventive maintenance, and ongoing service and support for all equipment at the customer facility and via telephone.
  • Document activities within the CRM system.
  • Communicate with other groups within Grifols to assure rapid resolution of customer issues.
  • Participate in development teams and process improvements regarding product performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technical or related Scientific Discipline, or equivalent military education, or an Associate's Degree with 2 years of experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience servicing electronic/electro-mechanical equipment.
  • 0 - 2 years of experience with lab equipment and/or electronic/electro-mechanical equipment with a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience with lab equipment and/or electronic/electro-mechanical equipment with an Associate Degree.
  • 4+ years of experience with lab equipment and/or electronic/electro-mechanical equipment with a High School Diploma.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a regulated environment is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Service Max/Sales Force platform.
