About the position

The Early Preschool Teacher at Lionheart Children's Academy is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing developmental and spiritual programs for a classroom of children. This role emphasizes creating a positive and safe learning environment while adhering to educational standards and fostering professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and implement programs for the class in accordance with the Academy Director and curriculum coordinator.
• Engage students in learning using a variety of instructional strategies to meet individual learning needs.
• Maintain a respectful, positive, safe, and student-centered learning environment.
• Demonstrate understanding of the curriculum and developmental needs of children by providing relevant learning experiences.
• Communicate effectively and maintain a commitment to professional ethics and growth.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED certificate required.
• Early education BA, AA, or CDA highly preferred.
• Previous experience in a state licensed facility or 24 hours of documented pre-service training required.
• Experience working in children's ministry is a plus.
• Must meet all teacher qualifications as stated in the Minimum Standards for child care centers in Texas, including maintaining First-Aid and CPR certification during employment.
