About the position

The Floater Teacher at Kids R Kids Learning Academy is responsible for creating and maintaining a nurturing classroom environment that supports the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children. This role involves assisting the lead teacher, implementing curriculum, and ensuring a clean and organized classroom while providing quality care and support to children throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a classroom environment that facilitates children's development.
• Support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing environment for children.
• Organize the classroom and maintain hygiene standards.
• Plan and implement curriculum for all children.
• Provide love and quality care to meet children's emotional and physical needs.
• Plan and execute indoor and outdoor experiences appropriate for children's developmental levels.
• Interact with children both physically and verbally throughout the day.
• Assist children with personal hygiene and diaper changes.
• Serve and eat meals with the children.
• Meet with parents, staff, and administration as needed.
• Attend in-service and staff development training programs.
• Familiarity with state licensing requirements and policies.

Requirements

• Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or related fields.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/First Aid certification (can be fulfilled upon hire).
• Ability to build rapport with children.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive and patient demeanor.
• Physical ability to keep up with active children.
