About the position

The Assistant Community Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Community Manager in overseeing the daily operations and administration of an apartment community. This position involves managing financial and operational tasks, ensuring compliance with company policies, and fostering positive relationships with residents. The Assistant Community Manager is essential in maintaining high standards of property management and enhancing resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Community Manager in overseeing daily operations of the apartment community.
  • Complete accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including preparing monthly financial reports.
  • Process invoices for payment and collect rent, fees, and other payments.
  • Conduct move-out inspections and determine applicable charges for damages.
  • Initiate lease violations, late rent notices, and evictions as needed.
  • Build relationships with residents through timely responses to their needs and concerns.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure market readiness and maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, vendors, and team members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Community Manager.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least one year of leasing experience in residential property management.
  • Knowledge of Yardi and other industry software preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with experience in creating financial statements and reports.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a timely manner.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with property management applications.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new software quickly.
