About the position

The Floating Leasing Agent plays a crucial role in ensuring exceptional customer service for both prospective and current residents at Sunrise Management & Consulting. This full-time position is immediately available in the NY Capital Region, where the selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall satisfaction of residents and the successful leasing of apartments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in leasing, sales, or customer service, and will be expected to demonstrate professionalism and effective communication skills in all interactions. As a Floating Leasing Agent, the individual will utilize their sales and customer service expertise to assist prospects, residents, and coworkers. This includes conducting tours of available apartments, screening potential residents, and maintaining accurate records using Entrata property management software. The agent will also be responsible for responding to inquiries from residents and prospects, ensuring compliance with all Federal and Local Fair Housing regulations, and fostering productive relationships with the Property Manager and site team. Sunrise Management & Consulting is an Accredited Management Organization recognized by IREM, managing approximately 1,500 apartments in the Capital Region. Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to prospective and current residents.
  • Communicate the benefits of the apartment community to leads via phone, in-person, and in writing.
  • Conduct tours of apartments for prospective residents.
  • Screen prospective residents to ensure suitability.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records using Entrata property management software.
  • Assist residents with questions or requests they may have.
  • Comply with all Federal and Local Fair Housing regulations and ordinances.
  • Maintain productive and professional relationships with the Property Manager and site team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a leasing agent or assistant manager at an apartment community.
  • Strong experience in sales and customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prepare paperwork and reports accurately.
  • Must have a valid New York State driver's license and own vehicle.
  • If holding a real estate license, must be willing to transfer it to Sunrise Management & Consulting.
