About the position

The Floating Leasing Agent position involves working at various apartment communities in the Denver area, primarily based at one property but assisting sister properties as needed. The role requires a strong background in multifamily apartment leasing, customer service, and marketing, with a focus on providing excellent service to residents and prospects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various leasing and marketing tasks, ensuring properties are ready for new residents, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vacant apartments for readiness on a routine basis and report deficiencies to the Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
• Inspect the marketing tour path each morning and throughout the day, reporting any deficiencies to the Property Manager.
• Inspect Model apartments daily to ensure they are in marketable condition and report any deficiencies to the Property Manager.
• Provide property information related to leasing and marketing to interested prospects.
• Prepare market surveys and become knowledgeable of the surrounding market and competitors.
• Prepare and review lease paperwork with all new and renewing residents.
• Complete timely follow-up on all prospects per company policy.
• Perform all duties in compliance with federal and state laws pertaining to the apartment industry and Fair Housing.

Requirements

• Sales experience, preferably in the apartment industry.
• Customer service experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and write.
• Strong commitment to company goals and values.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Outgoing, self-starter, and creative personality.
• Ability to learn and work on various types of computer software programs including Yardi, Microsoft Outlook, and credit screening software.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience using Yardi and CRM systems.
• Ability to initiate marketing campaigns and strategies.
• Ability to pass a mystery shopping report based on company criteria.
