About the position
The Floating Maintenance Technician at Paragon Properties, LLC is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of residential properties. This role involves handling maintenance service requests, preparing apartment units for occupancy, and performing repairs on various systems and equipment. The technician will work across multiple locations, providing high-quality service and maintaining the physical integrity of the communities.
Responsibilities
- Effectively handle maintenance service requests to the highest quality standards.
- Prepare apartment units for occupancy by performing basic drywall, painting, and rough carpentry.
- Ensure the physical integrity and curb appeal of the communities, reporting any potential liabilities or proposed property improvements.
- Evaluate, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing and electrical systems, major appliances, pool/spa equipment, and HVAC equipment.
- Advise on-site management and Facilities Director of necessary maintenance or liability issues throughout the community.
- Remove snow from walkways and apply salt as needed to sidewalks and building entries.
Requirements
- 4+ years of technical, vocational, or on-the-job maintenance experience.
- High school diploma or GED required; college-level/trade school strongly preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- EPA Type II or Universal Certification preferred.
- Exemplary customer service ethic.
- Knowledge of proper safety procedures.
Nice-to-haves
- HVAC certification strongly preferred (Type II or Universal).
- Experience in emergency maintenance on call.
