About the position

The Floating Commercial Office Cleaner position is a part-time role focused on providing janitorial cleaning services in office environments across Berks and Lancaster Counties. The role requires flexibility to fill in as needed for 2 to 4 hours nightly, Monday through Friday, during evening hours. The ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and good communication skills, ensuring a clean and orderly environment for clients.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors, stairs, and other surfaces inside buildings.
• Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas.
• Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and other horizontal surfaces, including periodic high dusting.
• Wash window sills and glass in interior doors, partitions, and specified windows.
• Wash glass and trim at entrance doors, both interior and exterior.
• Wash/spot clean interior walls as appropriate daily.
• Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies daily, following standard bathroom procedures.
• Collect building trash daily, placing it in an approved container and replacing liners in waste baskets.
• Perform periodic work such as high dusting, leather and wood surface polishing, wall washing, and venetian blind cleaning.

Requirements

• Prior cleaning or janitorial experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to function cooperatively as part of a team.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
• Requires attention to detail and a pride in delivering excellent service.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Fluency in speaking, interpreting, and reading the English language.
• Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments.
• Able to bend, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds comfortably.
• Valid driver's license and own transportation required.
• Ability to follow all health and safety regulations.
• Must pass a background check, including criminal history.
