About the position

The Floating Operations Specialist at Rivermark Community Credit Union is responsible for engaging with members, educating them about the credit union's products and services, and providing exceptional service and support. This role involves working at various locations, performing duties such as teller functions, account management, and member solutions, while actively seeking opportunities to cross-sell products and enhance member satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Engages members and educates them about Rivermark's products and services.
  • Provides service and support to members by handling routine requests.
  • Seeks out opportunities to provide members with new or underutilized products and services.
  • Supports the Credit Union by working at various locations and performing the duties of a Teller, Account Officer, Member Solutions Specialist, Virtual MSR, and/or Interactive Solutions Specialist.
  • Reports to the location assigned by the Floating Operations Manager when floating support is not required.
  • Provides exceptional member service, including making eye contact, welcoming and greeting members, and demonstrating willingness to help.
  • Monitors lobby traffic to ensure timely and welcoming member assistance.
  • Establishes rapport, explains solutions, defines needs, and recommends actions during member interactions.
  • Assists members with financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and account maintenance.
  • Processes loan requests from all channels and interviews for additional loan options.
  • Completes onboarding activities for all new members and/or loans.
  • Takes ownership of every interaction until complete, including callbacks and extended research.
  • Assists members using Personal Teller Kiosks (PTKs) and educates them on using interactive technology.
  • Balances daily transactions and verifies cash totals, investigating and resolving out-of-balance conditions.
  • Acts as a leader in sales, product knowledge, member solutions, and work ethic.
  • Participates in personal performance coaching sessions with the management team.
  • Follows written policies and procedures to ensure compliance and prevent fraud.
  • Continuously improves individual competency through training and development.

Requirements

  • Entry-level sales experience is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle financial transactions efficiently and confidentially.
  • Familiarity with online banking and electronic devices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a customer service role.
  • Knowledge of credit union products and services.
