About the position

The Floating Program Director position at ServiceNet is a full-time role focused on providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities and brain injuries. The primary responsibility of the Program Director is to ensure that each individual has the right to live a safe, enjoyable, and meaningful life both at home and in the community. This role requires the use of Positive Behavior Support (PBS) strategies to create an environment that fosters creative opportunities tailored to the changing needs and desires of the individuals served. As a cooperative team member, the Program Director will assist in the start-up of new programs, which includes setting up living spaces, hiring staff, and developing program structures. The Director will oversee the overall operation of the program, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and maintaining the welfare and safety of the individuals. This includes managing daily affairs related to nutrition, medical services, and social activities, as well as ensuring that individuals are engaged in appropriate day activities and recreational programs suited to their needs and abilities. The role also involves overseeing individual money management needs, responding to crises through a 24-hour on-call system, and arranging coverage when assigned staff are unavailable. Participation in team meetings, Individual Support Plan (ISP) reviews, and the development of individualized goals and behavior plans are also key responsibilities. The Program Director will hold regular program meetings and maintain agency certifications, while also addressing any other programmatic needs as directed by the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the start-up of the program, including setting up the house or apartment, furnishing, hiring staff, and program development.
  • Oversee the overall operation of the program(s) to ensure compliance with licensing regulations.
  • Teach and model techniques for staff to ensure quality care.
  • Manage the daily affairs, welfare, and safety of the individuals served, including nutrition, medical services, and social activities.
  • Ensure individuals are involved in appropriate day activities and recreational programs suited to their needs and abilities.
  • Oversee individual money management needs and respond to crises via the 24-hour rotating on-call system.
  • Arrange/provide coverage when assigned staff is not available.
  • Participate in team meetings, ISP reviews, and treatment team reviews.
  • Actively develop individualized goals, behavior plans, and safety plans.
  • Hold regular program meetings and maintain agency certifications.
  • Address all other programmatic needs as assigned by the Director of Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and supervisory/management experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience working with developmental disabilities or brain injury population.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills.
  • MAP, PABC, and CPR/First Aid Certified preferred.
  • Able to pass background screening (CORI).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in supervisory roles within similar settings.
  • Additional certifications related to developmental disabilities or brain injury care.
