About the position
The Flock Services Technician is responsible for the ethical management and transportation of chickens across various housing areas, ensuring their well-being and health. This role involves adhering to industry standards and regulations while performing tasks that promote the chickens' natural behaviors and overall condition.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the fair and ethical treatment of livestock, adhering to USDA, FDA, and other regulatory standards.
- Safely transport birds between housing areas, minimizing stress and injury.
- Regularly clean and sanitize feeders, waterers, and housing structures to prevent disease.
- Use power washing to maintain a sanitary environment that meets health and safety standards.
- Administer vaccines to chickens as needed, following proper techniques.
- Implement protocols to help cage-free birds adapt to their environment.
- Maintain and clean culling carts to ensure safety and effectiveness.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
