The Communications Manager will produce multimedia content that raises awareness of the Flood Hub and supports its strategic goals. As a primary content generator for the Flood Hub, the incumbent will develop well-researched, factually accurate, and compelling written/visual products for internal and external audiences. The successful candidate will play a key role in publicizing and promoting the Flood Hub's latest science and research activities to local, regional, and national stakeholders. Located at the University of South Florida's College of Marine Science on the St. Petersburg campus, the Florida Flood Hub for Applied Research and Innovation (Flood Hub) is the State of Florida's center for flood data, serving as a premier thought leader on flooding research and helping Florida prepare for the reality of rising sea levels, stronger storms, and more extreme rainfall events. The Flood Hub is envisioned to be a one-stop-shop for all local, regional, and government agencies to incorporate flood planning as part of a long-term strategy for smarter infrastructure and policies that reflect Florida's risks.
