About the position

Kforce has a client seeking a Floor Coordinator/Operations Representative in Arlington, VA. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operations within the office environment. The Floor Coordinator/Operations Representative will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing communications, including relaying calls according to local guidelines and handling messages appropriately. This position requires a proactive approach to answering general inquiries, assisting in resolving issues or concerns, and directing individuals to the appropriate resources. The role also involves greeting and directing employees and visitors, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in the workplace. In addition to communication tasks, the Floor Coordinator/Operations Representative will process space reservation requests for walk-ups, ensuring optimal workspace occupancy. This includes setting up and maintaining workspace and meeting rooms, which may involve catering and audio/visual equipment setup. Providing audio-visual support and troubleshooting during meetings and events is a critical aspect of this role. The representative will also be responsible for maintaining the appearance of general use areas, such as the copy room and coffee/vending area, ensuring a clean and organized environment. The position requires the ability to provide basic technical support for standard office equipment, such as copiers and printers. The Floor Coordinator/Operations Representative will support or execute activities related to onsite or offsite meetings and events, ensuring all logistical details are handled efficiently. Additionally, the role involves receiving, processing, and delivering inbound and outbound mail, packages, and faxes, as well as delivering stationery and coordinating large-scale duplicating projects, including copying, collating, assembly, and binding. Assisting customers with document retrievals and returns while adhering to archival guidelines is also part of the responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and relay incoming, outgoing, and internal calls according to local guidelines.
  • Handle and route messages appropriately.
  • Answer general inquiries and assist in resolving issues or concerns, directing them to the appropriate resource.
  • Greet and direct employees and visitors.
  • Process space reservation requests for walk-ups and ensure optimal workspace occupancy.
  • Set up and maintain workspace and meeting rooms, including catering and audio/visual equipment.

Requirements
