About the position

The Floor Lead at JARS Cannabis is a pivotal role responsible for leading the sales team in a fast-paced retail environment. This position involves opening and closing the dispensary, coaching staff, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The Floor Lead is expected to drive sales, enhance customer service, and maintain a positive work atmosphere while managing operational tasks and supporting the overall mission of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with and coach staff on a regular basis to ensure the dispensary's excellence in sales & service.
  • Participate in implementing best practices, regulatory processes, internal policies, and standardized procedures.
  • Carry out all assigned operational, sales and retail tasks put forth by the company.
  • Protect company assets and minimize loss by ensuring all store standards and operating procedures are met, including workplace safety, inventory control, and loss prevention.
  • Assist with inventory tasks when needed and requested.
  • Serve as a resource for dispensary staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, industry news and changes in regulations.
  • Respond to all staff questions, concerns or suggestions.
  • Resolve any conflict immediately.
  • Manage and inspire internal staff to deliver the highest level of customer service that embodies the JARS brand, therefore, increasing customer retention.
  • Utilize reporting tools available on POS system to motivate employees to push sales and promotions.
  • Manage and provide training for internal staff to consistently deliver the highest level of customer service.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork by working alongside the management team, establishing priorities, and providing clear direction.
  • Maintain a strong, professional, and communicative relationship with the General Manager.
  • Responsible for cash management duties that pertain to opening and closing the retail location.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of customer service experience working within a retail, sales and/or hospitality environment.
  • 1 year previous Retail Management experience.
  • Must have strong attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively as a team member.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must have a valid MED Badge.
  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Retail Management experience (1 year preferred).
  • Administrative experience (1 year preferred).
  • Secretary experience (1 year preferred).
  • Retail sales experience (1 year preferred).
