About the position

The Retail Floor Supervisor at Yellowstone General Stores is responsible for supervising and training retail team members while maintaining retail standards, policies, and procedures. This seasonal position offers a dynamic work environment in Yellowstone National Park, where employees can enjoy hands-on learning and work with a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Open and close retail locations as directed by management
• Assist retail management with the daily cash procedures and operations
• Monitor store floor, assist with guest needs, and ensure integrity of physical inventory and par levels
• Regularly evaluate, create, and maintain professional visual displays
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the retail shops
• Assist guests and team members, escalating concerns or questions to supervisor or manager as needed
• Operate POS or assist with Self Check Out
• Assist with check-in and check-out process to include documentation, assign dorm rooms, and coordinate required maintenance and repair for new arrivals
• Coordinate dorm inspections
• Perform other duties assigned

Requirements

• Previous cash handling experience required
• Ability to deescalate guest and team member complaints or concerns and redirect to management
• Previous experience working with point-of-sale system required
• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a customer service or retail environment preferred
