About the position
The Floor Tech at Life Care Center of Rochester is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and attractiveness of facility floors. This role involves performing various cleaning tasks in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Maintain floors by sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, shampooing, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
- Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
- Assist in the evacuation of patients when necessary.
- Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
- Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment in daily tasks.
- Communicate and function productively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Prior health care experience preferred.
- Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post-acute care facility.
- Ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department.
- Proficient in all competency areas including patient rights, safety, and sanitation.
- Ability to maintain professional working relationships with all associates and vendors.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information.
- Understanding and adherence to company policies including harassment and compliance procedures.
- Integrity and professionalism in adherence to Life Care's Code of Conduct.
