FLOOR TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

About the position

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining and restoring various types of flooring in healthcare facilities, ensuring cleanliness and safety through the operation of industrial floor care equipment. This role supports the mission of TouchPoint Support Services by creating a welcoming and healing environment for patients and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surfaces.
• Use proper procedures on carpet and upholstery including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
