About the position

The Floor Technician at Aramark is responsible for maintaining and restoring floors in assigned locations, utilizing industrial floor care equipment. This entry-level position emphasizes customer service, adherence to safety and sanitation standards, and the execution of various floor care procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a friendly, efficient, and positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers.
• Anticipates and responds to customer needs.
• Uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Performs carpet and upholstery care such as shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Operates industrial floor care equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surfaces.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Processes municipal solid waste (MSW), infectious, and pharmaceutical waste appropriately.
• Removes trash, recyclables, soiled linen, and used supplies from assigned work area.
• Disinfects receptacles and carts as needed.
• Follows all Aramark safety standards, sanitation, and infection control standards and procedures.
• Adheres to all Aramark appearance standards and wears the required uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) while working.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role is preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and its use is preferred.
• Ability to read and write for proper communication.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
