About the position

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining and restoring floors in assigned locations, utilizing industrial floor care equipment. This role emphasizes customer service and adherence to safety and sanitation standards while performing various floor care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a friendly, efficient, and positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers.
• Anticipates and responds to customer needs.
• Uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Uses proper procedures on carpet and upholstery care such as shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Operates industrial floor care equipment as assigned for cleaning large floor areas.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Processes all municipal solid waste (MSW), infectious, and pharmaceutical waste appropriately.
• Removes trash, recyclables, soiled linen, and used supplies from assigned work area, disinfecting receptacles and carts as needed.
• Follows all Aramark safety standards, sanitation, and infection control standards and procedures.
• Adheres to all Aramark appearance standards and wears the required uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role is preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and its use is preferred.
• Ability to read and write for effective communication.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
