About the position
The Floor Technician at High Shoals Health & Rehab is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of floors within the facility. This role involves performing various cleaning tasks, ensuring that all equipment is properly cared for, and contributing to a positive work environment. The position is full-time and offers a supportive team atmosphere in a mission-driven organization.
Responsibilities
- Dust, sweep, mop, buff, strip, and wax floors as scheduled by supervisor.
- Clean and store equipment at the end of each shift.
- Report any needed repairs.
- Perform waste disposal procedures as required by supervisor.
- Assist in the proper care and use of housekeeping equipment.
- Promote the image and reputation of the System by exhibiting servant leadership and providing direct and open lines of communication.
- Contribute to the work of committees, workgroups, project management, and other collaborative efforts of the System.
- Perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the System.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or its equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram format.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in supervising
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
