About the position

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various flooring surfaces in both commercial and residential settings. This role requires expertise in floor care techniques, including buffing, carpet cleaning, and general custodial duties, ensuring a safe and clean environment for all occupants.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine floor care tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness.
• Conduct buffing and polishing of hard surface floors to enhance their appearance.
• Execute carpet cleaning procedures using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and maintained in accordance with safety standards.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
• Follow established protocols for environmental services to promote sustainability.
• Collaborate with team members to complete cleaning assignments efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

• Previous experience in floor care or custodial services is REQUIRED.
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and environmental services is a plus.
• Familiarity with various floor types and appropriate cleaning methods for each.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframes.
• Ability to lift and move equipment as needed for cleaning tasks.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in all work areas.
