About the position

The Flooring Field Customer Service Technician is responsible for providing exceptional customer service related to warranty repairs and installations of flooring products. This role involves working at construction job sites and requires a combination of technical skills and customer interaction to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Perform simple repairs and touch-ups following production installation on all trades.
  • Perform minor installation tasks during the production process.
  • Handle builder and homeowner requests as needed.
  • Initiate claims and oversee the claims process with vendors.
  • Inspect and diagnose product and installation issues.
  • Schedule employee technicians and independent contractors to execute appointments.
  • Confirm completed appointments.
  • Perform repairs and replacements of three or more materials.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in flooring or related trades.
  • Valid Driver's License and vehicle insurance as required by State law.
  • Experience in one or more trades - Flooring (tile, carpet, wood, LVP), Cabinets, Countertops.

  • Good verbal communication skills for customer contact production.
